Peak Performance — Style Enhancing Sportswear
Words by Patter
Lately our Sunday nights have been re-energised with the weekly release of sports docuseries The Last Dance. This entertaining journey about the successes and failures of Michael Jordan and The Chicago Bulls has shifted our attention to the mindset of athletes. Sports channels are revisiting iconic and emotional moments in sporting history, including Flo-Jo’s record breaking 1988 sprint where she became the fastest women in the world, Billie Jean King’s stoic 1973 Battle of the Sexes tennis match with Bobby Riggs, and the ‘crawl of fame’ Iron Man finish of Julie Moss — a student who had entered the race as part of her thesis on physiological and training considerations.
For us amateurs, exercise has been reframed as a daily allowance, a moment of freedom for physical and mental training away from everything else — designed to make us better. To help stimulate some positive neurochemicals, we have edited a selection of sportswear items to accompany your daily training schedule. Suitable for all levels and pursuits, whatever your flow.
